COVID-19
There isn’t anything I can say about COVID-19 which hasn’t been said in a much more informed and eloquent way elsewhere. It is difficult, sometimes, to strike a balance between taking the necessary time to try to comprehend what is happening, and simply soldiering on.
I took the decision a week ago to conduct all meetings and consultations by telephone / facetime, Whatsapp, or Skype, until the threat is diminished. Thankfully, my clients have been happy to accommodate this change. I am fortunate in that I have worked from home since my business began in 2017, so I don’t have the challenge of putting infrastructure in place to allow that to happen.
The vast majority of my work can be done without seeing a client face to face ‘in person’ (although of course that is always preferable) , and so I am working more or less as I usually do, all the while wondering, as we all must be, where this road will take us.
I know that a lot of my professional colleagues will be juggling the health and safety of their staff with planning for home working, dealing with staff sickness, their own health, putting various procedures in to place, as well as keeping on top of their ‘normal’ workload.
I’d like to help if I can. I don’t deal with any conveyancing, but I can help with the time consuming background work, and of course I can help with any crofting element, e.g.:-
Assistance with crofting conveyancing, tenancy assignation etc
Croft purchase negotiations
Regulatory matters such as decrofting applications
Croft boundary matters
Crofting Register applications (including rectification)
Assistance with preparation of resumption applications and other Land Court matters.
Croft status advice and correction (owner-occupied crofts etc)
I work with lots of different firms of all sizes, across the Highlands and further afield, so am well used to fitting in with different firm cultures and ways of working.
Give me a ring or drop me an email if you would like to discuss how I could help.
In the meantime, let’s look out for each other and try to get through this.
